Donny Doughty is the Convenor for AMSA's Victoria State Network. Born in Labuan, Borneo Malaysia, Don arrived in Austrailain 2017 and works as an International Student Liaison for Huddle, the community arm of North Melbourne Football Club. Donny DOUGHTY Convenor (Victoria Network) Donny Doughty (Don) was born in Labuan, Borneo Malaysia; the day Malaya commemorates its 31st Independence Day celebration. He owes his life experience growing up in Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of North Borneo. He arrived in Melbourne in January 2017 to pursue his studies in International Business Trade and is in his final year of his Bachelor in Business Management. He currently works as the International Student Liaison for the Huddle, the community arm of North Melbourne Football Club. His goal ties mainly in connecting international students to aid and supports from local governments, state, and federal government-led relief. Previously, he had represented national peak body, and held role as a board member for NFP independent student-led media. He recently received his appointment as the North-West Metro Regional Advisory Committee for the Victorian Multicultural Commission. Don is thankful for being part of the Australian Malaysian Singaporean Association. He hopes to build more connections with tompinai and tambahutku, people of Borneo and East Malaysian together here in Victoria and AMSA, representing and sharing our cultural diversity, festivities, and tasty delicacies of our hometowns right here in the land down under, our now home. Siva KUMAR Head of Emerging Leaders Siva Kumar was born and raised in Ipoh (Malaysia). Upon completing his Bachelors & Masters degrees at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Siva worked as a Senior Lecturer in a prominent private university in Malaysia. He then moved to New Zealand to pursue a Ph.D. in Software Engineering at Victoria University of Wellington. He is an enterprise Agile transformation specialist with 15+ years of experience enabling organisations to adopt lean, adaptive and customer‑centric ways of working. Alongside his professional work, Siva is a respected community leader in New Zealand & Australia. He has organised the "Leadership Accelerator Program" (LEAP) for undergraduate Malaysian students in association with the High Commission of Malaysia to New Zealand and Education Malaysia New Zealand for the past four years. He has led several community organisations and therefore he has been honoured with several national awards for humanitarian service, multicultural leadership, and community program. Siva moved to Australia to work in a major bank about two years ago, and he continues to support the international Malaysian student community through networking sessions, panel talks and interactive workshops to bridge academic learning with industry practices.
