AMSA Annual Dinner 2025
Weaving Cultures, Celebrating Unity

As we reflect on the AMSA Annual Dinner 2025, we celebrate a milestone year — marking Singapore’s 60th year of independence and 70 years of Australia’s diplomatic presence in Malaysia.

Our theme, “Weaving Cultures, Celebrating Unity,” captured the essence of who we are — a community built on friendship, respect, and shared pride in our Malaysian and Singaporean heritage within the vibrant fabric of Australia.

At AMSA, we believe in creating spaces where cultures intertwine and everyone feels a sense of belonging. Our growing network — from long-time residents to newly arrived students and professionals — reflects the trust, warmth, and collaboration that continue to strengthen our community.

The Annual Dinner brought this spirit to life, weaving together stories, traditions, and aspirations in a memorable evening that honoured the enduring bonds between our nations.

We were also honoured to celebrate alongside our distinguished guests and delegates:
-
Hon. Matt Thistlethwaite MP, Assistant Minister for Immigration and Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade
-
Councillor Robert Kok, City of Sydney
-
Dr. Fahmi Abdul Rahim, Representative of High Commission of Malaysia to Australia
-
Ms. Simret Kaur, Representative of High Commission of Singapore to Australia

A special appreciation goes to Audra Morrice, AMSA Patron, MasterChef Singapore Judge and MasterChef Australia Finalist, for curating an exquisite menu that brought together flavours of Malaysia and Singapore in perfect harmony — a true reflection of our theme, “Weaving Cultures, Celebrating Unity.”

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our partners, sponsors, and supporters who made this celebration possible. Your generosity and belief in AMSA’s mission helped us create a night that truly embodied connection, collaboration, and excellence.
